DISCOVERING THE POTOMAC RIVER: This regional travel log is accompanied by about 40 color slides. A 100-mile boat trip up the tidal Potomac River addresses America’s first Catholic Colony, Maryland, as well as the rival settlements in Virginia. By water, we reach our nation’s capital, and explore some of the older areas, such as Alexandria, Virginia and Georgetown, now part of Washington, D.C.
